1889 Queensland Women’s Suffrage League

1889 WCTU opened a franchise department.

1891 Queensland Women’s Suffrage League folded

1894 Women’s Equal Franchise Association formed.

1894 Women’s Suffrage League began.

1900 Australian Commonwealth Act which allows women who already have a state vote to vote in federal elections.

1902 Queensland’s Women’s Electoral League (QWEL) formed

1902 Women Workers’ Political Association formed.

1903 Queensland women (white) won the right to vote at the federal elections

1905 Queensland women (white) win the right to vote at state elections

1905 National Council of Women of Queensland formed.

1905 WEFA disbands

1907 Women in Queensland first vote at state elections

1915 Women allowed to stand for Queensland Parliament
